Considering joining the 2025 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run & Walk on Sunday April 27th (race starts at 8:30 AM! RMHC Maryland is an independent non-profit organization, which means the community and supporters (like you!) provide 100% of RMHC Maryland's annual operating budget. Your gift today allows the Ronald McDonald House to continue providing refuge, compassion, encouragement and sustenance for 2,400 families a year, who come to the Ronald McDonald House in the most difficult of circumstances.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Thank you for supporting the Ronald McDonald House’s mission of keeping families together when they need it most. You are what makes RMH the House that Love Built.
UNIT 1 Hiring for School Year 2025-2026
It's that time of year where we see vacancies and program growth opportunities.
As a professional courtesy, please reach out to us if you are considering/interested in a change or there is discussion of program growth.
If you choose to participate in the voluntary transfer process, please be sure to visit HR navigator to apply for open positions. You should begin to regularly check the portal in March. Don’t rely on the notifications you set to alert you to vacancies that you might be interested in pursuing – I’ve been told they are not reliable.
Unit I positions for the 2025-2026 school year are advertised now on HR Navigator. As positions become available, they are posted for five (5) days. Interested applicants should go to the employee intranet and click on “Internal Vacancies” under Hot Links.
Important Dates
March 1- Voluntary Transfer process begins
April 15- Resignation deadline for Unit I 10-month employees in order to retain benefits through August
May 1- Non-tenured resignation deadline

July 31- Voluntary Transfer process ends
If you are non-tenured and wish to be able to explore other transfer opportunities in AACPS, you must Request to Participate in Voluntary Transfer Process (Unit 1 Non-Tenured Employee).pdf and receive approval from HR before you can apply.

AACPS HPED now has an Instagram page and we would love to highlight the amazing work you do with your students. Please consider sending a video or photo with caption to Haydee Traver (htraver@aacps.org) so that we can highlight the great work you do every day!
Social Media Shares and Reminders:
The Office of Communications has also asked everyone to not take pictures of students we know do not have permission to publicly post. You should not blur or place emojis over students' faces when we are not sure if they have permission. Unless you know for sure that a student’s family has given permission- do not post photos/videos. Front office staff at your school, most likely the principal’s secretary, can print a report for you of students who do not have permission to be posted on social media.
This year’s hashtags are #AACPSFamily & #BelongGrowSucceed.
