Some of the Year 6 Techies training up an eager Yr 5.
Have you got a plan? If you are keeping a few of this year's students in you class next year make sure you get them trained up so they can be the experts next year. If your IT experts are moving on then make the most of them over the next few weeks, get them to teach the students you are keeping.
Some things you might help them get sorted in preparation for next year are:
- Charging, storing and caring for school devices
- Using the apps and software that you use regularly, make cheatsheets if you need to - this is a great literacy task. Just like instructions but with images/video.
- Clearing old files or photos off your Ipads (think Imovie, Garageband, Bookcreator...)

Our new landing page for staff at school is hopefully going to be the one spot where you can access all of the places and information at St Mary's. The embedded Google Group will also hopefully cut a few emails.
It can only be accessed by staff at St Mary's.
It is ready to go, it'll be rolled out to be your home -page at school soon.

I recently ordered a kit from Kiwi Co. Will get my students to review it when it arrives.
Collection of IT equipment
The school issued equipment - Ipads, Chromebooks... will be getting collected at the end of Week 9. Please have it ready to be collected with the power cords.
I have some JPC students doing the collecting, they'll have a list of what has been allocated to your class throughout the year. If you know something is faulty please indicate on your list when they are collecting from your class.
You will probably get different devices next year so please get any data/ files off now to avoid disappointment and delays.
