I managed to get into a few classes to see how they were storing and managing their school devices - how does you class organisation stack up?
The diagram above came from a Steam brochure. It is a quick snapshot of the DTC overview.
There are some new 'How to' videos on the Staff portal. Thank yo to the people who have contributed so far and those who will be soon but don't know it yet. Click here to have a look.
Please be nice!
If you are hosting an Assembly, liturgy or other event and you'd like them to help please share the content with me and I'll get them sorted.
If you choose not (or can't because you're doing 3 million other things) then that's ok. But if things go wrong please be nice to the IT Leaders they do take it personally when things don't go to plan.
The IT Leaders are working on a student landing page for Y3-6 students. It will be a place where they can get information, access websites that they use often and hopefully where their creative juices can run free. If you are interested in a sneak preview click here.
This site will be student managed and owned but with a bit of support from myself. The IT Leaders may come to your class to get ideas from your students over the next week, please allow them 5 mins to share.
Sheryl introduced me to the Literacy Shed Facebook page, well worth a look.
Question? How have the students in your class used photos recently?
Answer R4:
We have commented on our photos in a Google Photos album.
Answer R4
We have used photos as inspiration for explaining what we have done. Linked to our reading and oral language learning. #Bookcreator.

Tip: If your students can't access the camera on their Chromebook get them to add a photo into a Google presentation from the camera then screenshot it to their downloads folder.
The article on the left came to my inbox and is probably a good reminder to think about what we access on our school devices. Remember we are role models so how we act online will be copied by our students.
Tip: Disconnect your laptop form projectors before reading your emails, I have regularly walked past classes to see teacher emails up on the board - it only takes on instance of a private email to be seen for a hassle to be on you.
