Thanks to all the teachers who have encouraged students to enter the, "Think before you click," competition. The entries are displayed in the hall foyer. Please take the time to have a look with your class and reinforce the positive messages about online citizenship.
Teacher Laptops
I have a new school agreement for all staff to sign. I will get a student to bring one to your class, please sign it so they can bring it back straight away. There is nothing too scary in the agreement and it is the same as you have signed previously. I've included the end of lease date on the agreement for you to take note of.
Please remember we are liable for damage to teacher leased laptops, please take care of your laptop and report any faults or damage as soon as possible. Repairs are managed by Tela (the leasing company) not our onsite techies.
Did I ever mention, 'Get organised now!"
Remember to set your page layout to A4 portrait. All staff have access to the School photos 2017 folder which contains many photos.
As I was updating Ipads recently I noticed that many had crazy amounts of photos and videos from as far back as three years ago. To save hassles I recommend deleting photos once you have used them or moved them off the Ipad. I do often sit in assembly wondering if all the videos and photos we take actually get used - just my wondering. Imovie, Garageband, Book creator and other creative apps can also contribute to the storage being full, delete these once you've exported them.
Please be nice to our tech leaders, they mentioned that only a few teachers had actually said thank you to them for helping with assemblies. They do a great job under, unwarranted pressure at times, to help teachers and classes present the assemblies, liturgies and mass.
Storing Ipads and Chromebooks.
I know all those cords are a pain. Here are two options that I've seen in classes recently.
Google classroom is a great tool for helping students learn in a shared online space that can be private. The best thing is that everything in Google Classroom is attached to a user's account. You can see who is posting what.
Here is a quick guide to setting up your Google classroom.
Below is an example of how I use Google classroom in R4.
