Just like always, right?
This Friday after school in our staffroom. 3:30 -6pm.
Come along and craft it with other educators from around our area. Click here to register and find out more.
Facilitated by Microsoft Minecraft educators.
Why: To get students and teachers excited about Steam.
When: Tuesday 31 July (Week 2) during the school day.
Where: All around our school, wherever we can find space. Hall and Library are booked for the day. Staffroom too hopefully.
What: Senior students and myself have planned some engaging workshops for Middle and Senior Students to take part in. Take a peek at the work in progress here. Junior students will be able to take part in the activities designed by the senior students, we're still working on this part.
How will it work: Juniors - 30 mins during the first block.
Middles - Middle block. Organisation and keynote in the hall then breakouts.
Seniors - Afternoon block. Organisation and keynote in the hall then breakouts.
I'll send out a spreadsheet for Middles and Seniors to sign up for the different breakouts. Students will be encouraged to sign up for breakouts that they have not done before. Teachers will be roaming helping the breakout organisers and keeping everyone in line.
More information will be out at the start of next term, just add the date to you planners for now.
A replacement has now been ordered so we are just awaiting installation. Hopefully it'll be sorted for the beginning of next term. In the meantime, let's keep making do with the portable projector setup that the ICT Leaders are doing so well with.
I just learned this myself last week. It is so easy that I am annoyed I didn't use this tool earlier. My students are making them this week to share their learning with others, look out they might test you soon.
Here is one I've made for a reading group to help them practice finding information in a text.
