The hall of doom

• I know that sometimes it feels like this when we have so many sound issues. But honestly without having a dedicated techie in the hall whenever someone uses it it is going to be difficult. There is a bit of a wifi dead spot down the far end of the hall but there is now a network cable that is live, so if you really need internet down there then plug in!
• I have added 2 hdmi cables in the av cupboard (Mac/Windows) which can be used for connecting to the hall projector. The techies know how to use these already.
• The hall techies do a great job so please don't have a go at them if things aren't working, they are doing their best.
• The best advice I can give you is to test before your event to check it is all ok and if it is not then ask for help ahead of time. And.... Do you need a google presentation? Can a powerpoint or Keynote do the same job?

Magazine pages are due on Friday - I am planning on collating them over the weekend so please make sure you are on time - you have had plenty of warning.

Warning! We will be collecting in school owned student devices at the end of the year to do a stocktake. Please don't pin your hopes on having school owned devices in the last week of school. More info about this will be posted over the coming weeks.

Google tricks

Did you know that you can have folders or files in multiple places in your drive? By pressing Shift + Z you can add the resource to another location and it still remains in the original spot.

One Tab is a Chrome extension that I use to save webpages for another time if I need to shut down but want the pages to be saved. It collapses all your open tabs and saves them so you can access them later, you can choose to open all , one or even delete them.

Lastly - Remember a restart will fix about 96% of computer problems, so make sure you do a full restart occasionally.
