Number one tip this issue comes from Anne. During Anne's recent Google Educator certification she was shown Google Keep .
This cool app is grteat for keeping anything you wan to remember and it has a nice tool that lets you choose a time or location to get a reminder.
For example you can set up a shopping list and set teh supermarket to be the location trigger for a notification. When you arrive you'll get a notification.
I've installed it on both my computer and phone so I can set reminders and get notifications on both. You can even add collaborators to notes so others can add.
Have you checked you email spam folder lately? I did and it contained an email outlined in the Netsafe article to the left. Although I knew straight away it was a scam it contained information that had me thinking how did they get it. Luckily it was old information and no longer relevant.
Netsafe put out monthly newsletters which are well worth reading. Just sign up and you'll stay informed.
This video came through the Teachers Facebook page (yes I'm still a member - just). Looks simple like this - right?
Sheryl has shared this one, some really practical reading ideas, first two are free only. After you've seen teh template they are simple enough to make yourself. Use your own photos or something like Pobble 365 could also be good.
Basic facts by stage, just for those who want to check in on students progress in Basic facts.
-via teachers Facebook page.
This is a pretty cool add-on for Google sheets. Create something really quickly in Sheets and then choose a template and you're away.
I did find that you need to publish the sheet to the web before using the Flippity tools.
Below you can see I've used it for a random group generator in R4. Happy to show anyone who's interested.
With the help of @robclarke Anne and I are putting together a landing page for staff at St Mary's . It'll have links to all the common online spaces we regularly go, key documents and a Google forum space where staff notices can be viewed. It's beginning to take shape but we'd like your input. If you think there is anything really important that needs to be added then please fill in this quick form to let us know.
P.S. this page will be private to staff at St Mary's only.
