Lesson 1 Day

Lesson objectives

• Download the document '1. Map Analysis exercise.docx'
• We will discuss how maps are helpful in real world scenarios. The maps that we will encounter give us information about mobile phone ownership across the world to which countries are covered using the Google Street View feature, and why this should matter
• We will go through Tasks 1 & 2 together and following this you will complete Task
• Introduction to summative examination - download the document 'Year 7 Mapping Summative Instructions' (revision guide)
• Begin answering questions in the revision guide in preparation for the summative assessment on

Lesson 2 Day

Lesson Objectives

• Go over the responses to the questions 1 to 5 in the revision guide
• Attempt questions 6-10 in the revision guide

Lesson 3 Day

Lesson objectives

• Go over the responses to questions 6 -10 in the revision guide
• If any additional time remains, we will go back to Map Analysis Task 4 onwards

Lesson 4 Day

Lesson objectives

• Examination 'Year 7 Mapping Summative Assessment'

Lesson 5 Day

Lesson objectives

• We will finish Map Analysis (maps 4 to 8 inclusive)
• Each person will get into groups of 4 (two groups will consist of 5 students). Each group will take one map (maps 4a to 8).
• You will collaborate in the group and prepare to give a presentation to the class answering the question connected to your particular map. This will require you to use your your collaborative, communicative and critical thinking skills.
