Welcome to 2018 - news and updates for the new year

Good Wednesday Afternoon,Happy New Year to all of you. I am so looking forward to 2018 and another year with all of you.

I know the second group of cohort members have received their last check from SUNY Central last month. I do, as well as the other members of our cohort, hope you will continue until the end of August with us on this journey.

Just a couple of updates as we begin 2018:

• There will be a Master Teacher Program Informational meeting on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Plattsburgh State in Sibley Hall room 545. We currently have 7 people signed up and hopefully anticipate more. If you are interested in attending to assist in answering questions and have not let me know please send me an email. - I have attached a flyer you can distribute to your colleagues to this email.
• The next cohort meeting (Zoom) is scheduled for January 17, 2018. This meeting will be a continuation of the December meeting for the Canton and Plattsburgh sites and a combination of both meetings for Carthage. - I will be sending the Carthage site a separate email following this one.
• I have sent to Valerie Pond and Tammy Casey the names of those of you who expressed an interest in the Mathematics day in Saranac Lake/Lake Placid on February 9-10, 2018. They will be contacting you with the details. I will coordinate with them regarding rooms for Thursday/Friday? night. (list of names attached)
• Flex February - We will have both the Grant Writing (2/3/18) and the Differentiated Instruction (2/24/18) here in room 545 during the month of February.
