The Capital Region, Central New York, Mohawk Valley, and North Country site coordinators are excited to begin accepting proposals for the 4th Annual NYSMTP Conference. Our four sites will host a 1-day conference on Friday August 18, 2017 at the University at Albany. There are three ways in which you will be able to share the work you have been doing with others:

1) Workshop Proposal: There is the possibility to share a 45-minute workshop (alone or with other Master Teachers). Proposals should share the work you’ve engaged in with their fellow Master Teachers in the NYSMTP, but proposals that include work from outside the NYSMTP may be considered. All workshop topics are welcome AND priority will be given to those that highlight the MTP regional cohort's work.

2) Poster: You may present your work as a poster. Master Teachers are asked to submit proposals to share work they’ve engaged in with their fellow Master Teachers in the NYSMTP. All poster topics are welcome AND priority will be given to those that highlight the MTP regional cohort's work. Accepted poster proposals will receive a template to complete. (IOW the actual poster will be printed and transported to the Conference by central office staff.)

3) ShareZone: Finally, there will be a session called ShareZone that will be dedicated to hands-on activities and sharing of best practices. Master Teachers are asked to submit proposals for the ShareZone to bring hands-on activities, demonstrations, or pedagogical tools that they have engaged in, possibly with their fellow Master Teachers in the NYSMTP. Participants will be free to wander from topic to topic to see what ideas you are sharing. All topics are welcome AND think about sharing work/ideas/strategies that you may use in your classroom as these may be helpful to others and generate ideas to use next fall.

Below, you will find the link to submit a proposal for the Annual Conference. If you have any questions, please email your site coordinator. The deadline for proposals is Friday May 5th, 2017.
