ncMasterTeacher and NYSMTP

Have some fun pictures to share that highlights the work of the North Country Cohort members? Send them to me or let me know where to find them and I will share them here. Thanks (art.trombley@gmail.com)

Hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!  I'm bummed I was unable to fit the NYSMTP retreat into my schedule this summer :(   STANYS has a fun event planned for August 23rd at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake.  See the attached flyer for more info, or check out our facebook event.  As always- if you teach science, consider joining the Science Teachers Association of NYS (www.stanys.org).  Its a great organization to be a part of (though membership isn't required to attend on August 23rd!!)    Thanks!

Some pictures from the event. Not edited - just throwing them all out there. The album should be open for sharing. Thanks to all who made the day such an amazing event. So much talent - so much love of the craft of teaching.

I do not remember who sent me these photos - or if I posted them anywhere before, but here are some pictures from the April event. I think we need more pictures - snap away. Send them to me to share.

Please follow THIS LINK for the new PD form. This is for events beginning October 28, 2016 (the Friday evening session in Plattsburg). Use the descriptions on the MT Calendar when entering hours into the new form. There will not be a drop down menu for you to choose titles.
Want to add a PLT for your North Country friends? Please send me the title and description along with dates and times. I will add it to the calendar and to the growing list of local PLT events. Please use provided titles from state wide mini-courses, PLTs, etc.

  • From Josephine - May 1 - "graduation" Dear NYS Master Teacher in the North Country about to Graduate, I write with a few updates as you are nearing the end of the four-year fellowship. The good news, as I’ve shared, is that this does not mean the end of your being a NYS Master Teacher, nor does it mean you separating from the NYSMTP.If your experience with the NYSMTP has had a positive impact on your practice, your professional goals, or has supported you as a teacher, I hope you stay connected. Attached to this email is the document sent to all NYS Master Teachers via the monthly newsletter, STEMreach.
