Minutes for August 10, 2023 - Draft

Selectboard Attendees: Ivan Beattie, Greg Cutler, Heidi Chamberlain, Lauri Kunz

Absent: Jan Nolan

Town Employees: Bonnie Jamieson, Micheal DeCubellis

Public Attendees: Greg Sukiennik of the Manchester Journal

Call to Order by Beattie @ 10:01 a.m.

Pledge of Allegiance – led by Beattie

FY24 Tax Rate 

Beattie asked DeCubellis to provide a brief review of the proposed FY24 tax rate. DeCubellis stated that both the homestead and non-homestead rates decreased.   The original Municipal tax proposed at 0.2356 would leave a small deficit in the budget.  DeCubellis proposed an increase of .0001 to the rate, that would make a positive difference.  DeCubellis also questioned if the committee wanted to take any steps to offset the few grievances received.  The committee did not support any movement on this subject. Motioned by Cutler, seconded by Chanberlain, to approve the Tax Rate as presented. All in Favor. 4-0. (Total Town Tax Rate = .2588)

Motion to adjourn meeting by Beattie, seconded by Cutler, All in Favor.
