MINUTES FROM MARCH 17, 2023

Beattie called the meeting to order at 9:17 AM.

Minutes from January 21, 2022

Kilburn motioned to approve the minutes from January 21, 2022.  Seconded by Madden.  Motion passed 3-0-0.

Tabled minutes from November 15, 2022.

Well Pump #2

We also need to  include in the pump replacement harmonic filters,  and check valves.  

Kilburn motioned to approve up to $80,000 from the Schwab Reserve Account to replace pump #2.  Madden seconded the motion.  Motion passed 3-0-0.

Connection and Extension Fees

Discussion on the difficulty in determining the connection and extension fees.  The system should be reviewed with a guide created.

Other Business

Eric asked about a privately owned section of sewer on Lincoln Ave., which evolved into a discussion about the fact that water mains need to be owned by the Town or under state regulations.  If they are privately owned they need to be operated as a water system.  

The Rootville culvert replacement has been put out to bid.  The East Mountain water tank will need to be offline for an estimated 5 day period during the culvert replacement to allow for the lowering of the water main in the area of the streambed and culvert to meet proper engineering practices and state regulations.  That 5 day period will be somewhere between 7/1/23 and 10/1/23.
