Special Water Committee Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Kunz at 8:03 AM
In attendance: Laurie Kunz, Mike Nawrath, Tim Madden, Brian Benson, Town Engineer, Chrissy Haskins.
Town Staff: Eric Severence, Scott Murphy
Kunz reviewed the notes from the last meeting of July 21, 2022. She updated the Committee on the purpose of the group and the goals of the Committee. Benson discussed two previous reports from 2004 and 2006 that addressed the Town’s aquifer.
Haskins reviewed the contract arrangements with Craig Heindel, who produced the two previous reports. She also explained the quote the Committee had received last August (2022) to define the boundaries of Zones 2 & 3. This also included a field inventory to define private wells as well as Town wells.
The Committee decided to schedule a meeting with the Board of Water Commissioners to request possibly moving ahead with a contract with
Mr. Heindel and to clearly define the Scope of the contract as well as getting an updated cost estimate. Haskins will get new cost estimates and try to define a clear Scope of work to present to the Water Board.
