Unable to Enroll Student in Class or Group

You get an error message that the student could not be registered because *Enrollment date cannot be prior to the student intake date.

• 1. Students cannot be enrolled in classes before that were enrolled in your program. Intake to the program must come before class enrollment, and the dates must reflect that.

  2. Return to the student record and open the record.

  3. In the Student Data tab, Key Info panel, verify the Intake Date.

  4. Update the Intake Date if needed, bearing in mind that the Intake Date should always remain what it was at entry (unless being updated due to a data entry error) as it should always reflect the initial date of intake.

  5. Enroll the student with a date on or after the Intake Date.

  6. Do not update the Intake Date each fiscal year. The History panels will update automatically to reflect the history as students exit and return, but the Intake Date should always remain the initial date of intake into your program.
