Smaract tips
To home a channel
Move all the way negative (ensure the DB limits are greater than stage travel in negative direction)
Set the reference position to 0 using MC
Shut down the device
In the database editor, set the lower limit to 0.5mm or more (to avoid hitting the end of the stage)
Turn on the device and check the position reads 0.
Move the stage to desired position (>0.5mm)
Introduction:
Install and run SmaractMCS device on new computer.
Procedure:
Steps to install Smaract MCS software:
1. Click on MCS installer.
2. Click on Yes.
3. Click on Next.
4. Click on Next.
5. Click on Next.
6. Select all options and click on Next.
7. Select Labview version.
8.Click on install.
9. Click on finish.
10. Click on Next.
11. Click on I Agree.
12. Click on Finish.
Steps to run device:
Follow steps 1 and 2 if the device type is not already in your database
1. Follow steps of Add/Edit new device type
2. Enter Name “Smaract_MCS” and Relative Path “Smaract_MCS\Smaract_MCS.lvclass” and click on create/Modify Devicetype.
3.Then Add New Smaract_MCS_3C Device by following steps of Create New Device and Launch New Device
4.Follow steps Modify Devicetype Variable for Smaract_MCS_3C device
5.Follow steps Launch local GUI from master control
6. User can also set Devicetype variable values from Smaract GUI.
