AlicatPC

Introduction:

Install and run AlicatPC device on new computer.

Important Notes:

1. PLasma 1 HP controtroller (300 psia) is an absolute pressure controller. All others are gauge pressure controllers.

2. All Alicats have to be manually given unique address starting from A to Z.

3. Currently the device on the control system for AlicatPC interacts with 2 controllers at a time.

4. The Gauge meter (Device 3) should be enabled if present.

5. Absolute pressure set is implemented in the GUI and not in the device. (GUIS have to be changed).

6. PL2-PresCtl device is based on the old AlicatPC device type It is located on computer 14.67 connected to the COM to USB trip lite (COM14). Both the controllers on PL2 are now Gauge units as there is no gauge reader connected.

Procedure:

Steps to run device:

Follow steps 1 and 2 if the device type is not already in your database

1. Follow steps of Add/Edit new device type

2. Enter Name “AlicatPC” and Relative Path “AlicatPC\AlicatPC.lvclass” and click on create/Modify Devicetype.

3.Then Add New P2-PresCtl Device by following steps of Create New Device and Launch New Device

4. Modify Devicetype Variable for P2-presctl device

5. Launch local GUI from master control
