Devices

General Description: The Devices Tab loads controls that allow the user to manage individual devices. A user is able to start/stop/restart an individual device, its related GUI, the device computer and view any device errors.

The Device Tab loads the following controls:

1. Device Selector List: This control is a drop down menu that lists all the devices on the experiment line. All of the devices are listed irrespective of their on/off status. All ICONS displayed under the device selector list dynamically control the selected Device.

2. Device ICON: Hovering the mouse over the Device ICON, loads the following buttons

i. Device ON/OFF button:

If the device is ON, this button appears in Green. Clicking on it will turn off the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

If the device is OFF, this button appears RED. Clicking on it will turn on the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

ii. Device Restart Button: Clicking on this Button restarts the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

3. GUI ICON: Hovering the mouse over the GUI ICON, loads the following buttons

i. GUI ON/OFF Button:

If the GUI is ON, this button appears in Green. Clicking on it will turn off the GUI for the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

If the GUI is OFF, this button appears RED. Clicking on it will turn on the GUI for the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

4. Computer ICON: Hovering the mouse over the Computer ICON, loads the following buttons

i. Computer Start/Stop Button:

If the Computer is ON, this button appears in Green. Clicking on it will turn off the Computer for the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

If the Computer is OFF, this button appears RED. Clicking on it will turn on the Computer for the device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

ii. Computer Restart Button: Clicking on this Button restarts the Computer for device chosen in the device selector drop down control.

iii. Computer RDP Button: Clicking on this button starts a remote desktop session with the computer on which the selected device is launched.

5. Error ICON: Hovering the mouse over the Computer ICON, loads the following controls

i. Error Display Indicator: The current error on the Device is displayed on this indicator. If the device is functioning without errors, then this display is blank. Devices with errors are listed in a list box on the Scan Tab. Clicking on a device in this list automatically loads the Device Tab with the Device preloaded in the Device Selector List. All ICONS then dynamically control the selected device.
