Our Korean patent on diffuse-type gastric cancer risk markers of PTPRCAP was registered on September 25, 2012. Congratulations. The patent application was filed on March 6, 2009 and based on the work by Dr. JU Hyoungseok that was later published in Neoplasia on December 2009. It took 3 years and a half (much longer than usual) to get granted.
