A junior-class student from Hanoi joined our lab this morning. Her name is 'Le Thi Hong Nhung' in vietnamese. Her family name is Le and she is casually called by "Nhung." Welcome to the Lab. 'Hong Nhung' means 'red rose' according to her. The pictures were taken at a dinner when I visited Hanoi last December.
She will spend 5 weeks in the lab from July 9 to August 10. She is participating to the Experience-KAIST program, in which several undergraduate junior students at the Faculty of Biology, Hanoi University of Sciences (HUS) are invited to spend several weeks in KAIST Department of Biological Sciences in July and August.
The annual program started last year. This year, 7 students are attending the program. Last year, 5 undergraduate students came and "Nguyen Minh Huong" spent the summer in our lab. Huong has been admitted to KAIST Graduate Program recently and plans to join our lab from this coming fall semester.
