The Junior High School (Grades 6–8) program provides students with a strong academic foundation while supporting the transition from elementary to high school in a virtual learning environment. Instruction is aligned to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Learning Standards and emphasizes critical thinking, independence, and responsibility.
Students engage in coursework across core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, where they develop skills in analysis, problem-solving, and effective communication. As students progress through the middle grades, they are expected to take greater ownership of their learning, manage their time effectively, and apply knowledge across content areas.
Instruction is delivered through teacher-led virtual lessons, independent practice, and interactive digital resources. Courses are designed to prepare students for the increased rigor of high school by building strong study habits and reinforcing key academic skills.
In addition to core academics, students may participate in electives such as fine arts, wellness, and other enrichment opportunities, allowing them to explore interests and develop well-rounded skills.
The Junior High School program is designed to foster confidence, accountability, and academic growth, preparing students for a successful transition to high school.
