Have you or someone you know ever had an injury? Most will more than likely answer yes to this question and the majority of these injuries will involve the skeletal or muscular systems. Have you ever wanted to increase your strength? This once again involves the skeletal and muscular systems. When you are injured and listening to the EMT, nurse, or doctor, it would be beneficial to have a basic understanding of their description of your injury.
Kinesiology is a one-semester course that studies how the skeletal and muscular systems work together to move your body. We will investigate the axial and appendicular skeleton and focus on how the various muscle groups function to move our bony framework. You will learn how to isolate muscle groups for repair and increase strength.
Kinesiology is held in the spring semester.
