CHEMISTRY

Chemistry is a year-long advanced science course that will utilize scientific inquiry to analyze data and interpret results to explain the composition and properties of substances and the reactions those substances undergo. Topics explored will include atomic structure, Periodic Table trends, chemical bonding and reactions, intermolecular forces, and quantifying matter.  Students will also have opportunities to participate in virtual labs and activities.  There is a strong emphasis on mathematical problem solving in this course and a scientific calculator is required.

Prerequisite:  Physical Science & Algebra I
