Foods and Nutrition

In this course, students will become familiar with basic nutrition facts.  They will learn what foods to incorporate into their diet in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to keep certain food items minimal in their diet.  In one of their assignments, they will write out a daily meal plan for one day that includes the 5 basic food groups.  They will be instructed regarding healthy eating habits as they complete a “3 Day Chart” tracking what they eat.  Recent articles are applied with the subject area from various PowerPoint lessons.
