Data Science Foundations

The Data Science Foundations course helps students learn to understand and think critically about different types of data. It covers Ohio’s Math Standards related to data science and how data affects modern citizenship. Topics include explaining big data, understanding data usability and usefulness, knowing the difference between structured and unstructured data, learning data extraction methods, understanding data storage, considering privacy concerns, and exploring data mining.  

Prerequisite:  Algebra 2 or Competency Score on Algebra EOC (684)
