Week 5

Monday 10.09.2017

We were working the whole day at MobileIron. In the morning, Ojas invited us to join the marketing all hands meeting. It was interesting to see how business meetings are conducted in Silicon Valley and also what's happening right now in the EMM marketing business. This took up some of our time and therefore we couldn’t complete our research and finalize the use cases as planned. We were thinking of doing the PowerPoint presentation, however, to do so we first needed to get an idea how to measure the value of our use cases. Consequently we asked Ojas for advice regarding the issue at hand. Afterwards, we fixed two dates with him. First meet up will happen next Thursday to go watch the movie Blade Runner 2049 with Ojas and the second one would be our final read out on Friday morning at MobileIron. At the end of the day we went to visit Google.

Tuesday 10.10.2017

After todays lecture, we went to eat Cevapi near the Santa Clara University which is a Serbian specialty. Back at school we created a positioning map of our use cases to value them and planned our workload for the rest of the week. As we decided to do our final read out on this Friday at MobileIron, it is important for us not to forget anything.

Wednesday 11.10.2017

We had our final meeting with Prof. Schneider. We worked at our presentation back at home before Prof. Schneider took us to the Stanford University for a very interesting speech about assholes.

Thursday 10.12.2017

Unfortunately, two of our team members got ill and could not attend school. However, we still had an appointment with Ojas today. So in the afternoon after working on the presentation, we went with Ojas and some other employees to watch the new Blade Runner 2049. We finished the evening all together with a few beers and interesting talks about Metal Core and other stuff.

Friday 10.13.2017

Today was our last day at MobileIron. In the morning, we finished the presentation and started to practise. Then we had our final read out. It went really well and Ojas was pleased but at the same time gave us some constructive feedback. After five incredibly interesting weeks we had to say goodbye to the MobileIron staff and thank them for this incredible experience. In the Afternoon, we went to the Friday Speech of the WeTravel CEO Johannes Köppel in San Francisco. The outpost CEO of Swisscom Lukas Peter organized a cozy apartment for us where the speech took place. It was an interesting speech because Johannes gave us insight of the whole story of WeTravel. After the speech, the whole class including Lukas, Johannes and Prof. Schneider went to a bar at the corner where everybody had a good time and reflected on the International Campus Experience.
