The basic burst statistics available to the user to compute derived quantities are listed below, together with a brief description.
Notes:
1) If Background Corrections is selected, these quantities are background-corrected. When a time-dependent background analysis has been performed and Use Time-dependent Background Rates is selected, the background rates used for the corrections are the local ones.
2) If ALEX Corrections is selected, these quantities use the appropriate corrections factors (i.e. us-ALEX or ns-ALEX) defined in Settings.
3) The Stoichiometry- & Brightness-compensated Burst Size is discussed in a separate page in the Reference section of the manual.
4) The nanotimes need to first be computed in the Nanotimes Display page.
5) When us Alternation-Corrected Formula is selected, the count rate calculation excludes the irrelevant parts of the alternation period. For more details, consult the Count Rate Analysis page of the manual.
6) When a time-dependent background analysis has been performed and Use Time-dependent Background Rates is selected, the background rates are the local ones. If no advanced background analysis was performed, the global background rates are used.
