About this manual

This manual is divided into sections corresponding to pages of the main ALiX window and contains a reference section where general single-molecule FRET analysis concepts are discussed.

Throughout the manual, objects in the software (such as buttons, numeric controls or indicators, graphs, checkboxes, etc.) will be referred to by their name written in bold and italic style.

Pages or tabs in the main window or additional windows will be referred to by their name written in bold.

Links to other pages of this manual will generally open a new tab in the browser.

The Table of Content on the left hand side should help with navigating the different sections of the manual.

Functions accessible to beta users only have their manual page title followed by (beta). The beta version is activated via the About ALiX window.

This manual is a work in progress (currently incomplete (or empty) manual pages are indicated by an asterisk in the table of content) or a mention in red at the top of the page.

Some snapshots provided as illustration may not look exactly as the latest released version (or the version currently used). This could be a display glitch, but most likely only means that the ALiX version predates the last time the manual page was updated, or that the manual page hasn't been updated recently. Each manual page has its last update timestamp indicated at the top, which should help figuring out which case applies.

In any case, please report errors, typos and request clarifications on the user forum (see Support).
