The Burst Statistics Histograms tab contains the diverse histograms and kernel density estimation plots defined and computed in the Burst Statistics Definitions tab.
The Keep Burst Statistics Plots checkbox ensures that newly computed plots are added to the list of existing plots (from previous computations). Note that the Analysis >> Clear All Burst Analysis Graphs menu item (Ctrl-Shift-D) will override this settings and clear the graph.
New plots take the name of the statistics they represent, as defined in the Burst Statistics Definitions tab (which is why using an alias may be preferable to using a complete formula). If a plot with the same name exists, the new plot gets a number in parenthesis added, as for all graphs in ALiX.
An example of plots (corresponding to the statistics definitions shown in the Burst Statistics Definitions page of the manual) is shown below:
The Graph has two horizontal and two vertical scales (Burst Statistics 1, Burst Statistics 2 and Histogram 1, Histogram 2), which can be used to represent plots with very different ranges. The default for a new plot is to use the first scale of each axis. Later plots keep the scales of their predecessors at their location in the list. To change the scales used by a plot, right-click on the plot icon and choose the desired scale for each axis:
Each scale has its own legend allowing to adjust its specific settings.
As for many other graphs in ALiX, the right-click menu of the plot legend allows performing fits or computing an histogram of each plot, or export the data to the clipboard.
