This tab shows either one of two possible graphs, depending on the value of the 2D Display Type (F1 vs F2) pull-down list to the top right of the graph.
The scatter plot represents the selected Statistics 1 (horizontal axis) versus Statistics 2 (vertical axis) data for all selected bursts, as well as the corresponding projection histograms. In the particular example shown below, the corresponding definitions in the Burst Statistics Definitions tab were:
In this particular example, the scatter plot exhibits two different populations, one corresponding to donor-only burst (lower horizontal cloud), while the other corresponds to doubly-labeled bursts exhibiting FRET.
The Fit button to the right allows fitting the scatter plot with a single line (with or without forcing the intercept through the origin, depending on the value of the Intercept = 0 checkbox). This of course only makes sense when a single population is visible in the scatter plot.
The other graph is a 2-dimensional histogram of the two statistics, binned with the size defined by the Statistics 1 Bin Size and Statistics 2 Bin Size parameters set in the Burst Statistics Definitions tab:
The histogram counts are color coded using a palette which can be chosen via the Burst Statistics Intensity Plot Palette pull-down menu to the left of the color ramp. The color box to its right is used with the monochrome palette.
