Apologies to everyone for the 'second' security code request. I will investigate and see if this is still a problem...
1. Updates on analyses: Have received some LifeLines and KARE data. Have been in discussions with CHARGE and have obtained email addresses and some commitments from some of the groups for the re-analysis, will also reach out to obtain individual results files from Jemma Wilk's paper.
2. Discussions about the grant:
- General enthusiasm for what is proposed: including from SPIROMICS, Lovelace, Lung eQTL consortium (thanks, Steve, Yohannes, and Yohan)
- Likely will be concerns about heterogeneity, phenotype harmonization
- Proposed analyses were sent via email and also here (Genetics Grant Proposal)
- Please send letter of support and fill out the cohort details online (here: Genetics cohort list) - let me know if you need access
- Please edit the letter of support as needed - it is meant to be flexible
- Plan is to perform genetic analysis with largest available sample (anyone with GWAS / exome data) and replication in anyone without genetic data available. E.g., SPIROMICS and Lovelace not fully genotyped -- ideally would be able to support chip-based genotyping - even exome or GWAS -- in these samples, but will depend on budget. Please send the number of subjects you have without genotyping data and whether you would be willing to send the samples to be genotyped or whether you require this to be done at your institution.
- Analysis money to cohorts as a purchased service agreement, not a sub as this is easier to deal with administratively. However, for those who want to set up a sub, or want to be involved in other ways, please contact me.
- Timeframe is short - send your responses to me by this Friday if at all possible so we can work on budget
3. Upcoming calls
Will be moving forward with the primary analysis regardless of the grant, so hope to have updates. Will be discussing times with Marike, who was unfortunately unable to make the call, likely once a month.
