Discussion of the case control paper
- Review deadline has passed. Still waiting for some SPIROMICS information.
- eQTL discussion: ?appropriate as written, always need caveats given pervasiveness of eQTL, will discuss further with Yohan
- asthma overlap: little to no evidence for genome-wide significant associations, though prelim analysis suggests some co-heritability. Clearer message to state the former with caveats
Data sharing
- No objections - will move forward to likely dbGap deposition
- requests to use this data before deposition - to Michael / Marike can coordinate, review as appropriate
Emphysema GWAS
- Additional cohorts may be available - COPDBeat, COPDMap -- Martin is involved in genetic analyses for these two - will follow up
- Lots of heterogeneity between studies: George O'Connor suggests more descriptive statistics, and some analyses eg LAA vs FEV1.
- Moving forward: Michael will send an email and then plan on a call
