Present on call: Hobbs, Pare, Pistolesi, van Beek, Lahousse, Leng, Busch, Locantore, Lynch, Manichaikul, Gharib. Many people out because of Easter, apologies.
Case control analysis updates:
- Working on finishing up edits based on comments from co-authors, thanks for all the feedback. We believe we have appropriate approval from all groups save perhaps SPIROMICS.
- Limited results similar to that presented at an internal COPDGene meeting will be presented by Ed Silverman at an internal (not public) grant review meeting -- no objections.
- Additional analyses based on this data planned -- including network analysis, pathway analysis (Sina), extended eQTL (Pare / Bosse), etc. While the summary statistics will eventually become public, we could potentially start working on these projects now (anticipating that they will only be published after the primary paper). Would be best to coordinate this work; will send out manuscript proposal form to review.
Emphysema GWAS
-- structure similar to before -- 4 authors / group, individual analyses, QC on each.
- Major questions about phenotype and normalization. David Lynch suggests Perc15 with volume adjustment, which may be possible only on a subset. Would be good to get an inventory of what phenotypes are available and on CT scanning techniques. Michael will make a draft google doc, ask for comments on the plan, and schedule a call.
Additional projects
-- Ani brought up WGS / TOPMed -- would be useful to reach out to others with sequencing data.
