A summer opportunity to consider: Northwestern College Preparation Program
Homework:
1. Finish Chapter 7 by Friday
2. Finish your color-coded, synthesis essay by tomorrow.
3. Finish completing your test corrections by block day.
Outcome Goals:
1. Finish engaging in reflective and collaborative writing in order to come to a deeper understanding of the plot and character motivations that are revealed in chapters 4 and 5.
2. Further consider how James Gatz became James Gatsby by creating a visual timeline for this process.
First Thing:
1. Get a Chromebook from up front and take Chapter 6 quiz
2. Work on finishing your diary entry and if done read quietly. (I'll pass back work)
Agenda:
1. Share diary entries with one other pair and then have owner turn the entries in.
2. Create a Gatsby Transformation Timeline
First list the major events, places, and people that make up the life history of Gatsby.
Then create a timeline or diagram that illustrates this sequence of events.
Lastly, for each event or period create a picture, symbol, or object that identifies or symbolizes that particular incident. Include the years and months if possible.
