1. Familiarize yourself with the course expectations and content by going over the syllabus and by going over the 2013 AP test.

• The Take 5 Passes

2. Take a seat.

2. Review Test

a) Read first passage and in your head answer questions 1-3 — then skim through the rest of the reading (pgs. 6-21)

b) Read synthesis prompt (pg. 5 - after reading passages) and skim stimulus documents (pgs. 5-11)

c) Read rhetorical analysis prompt and skim passage (pg. 12)

d) Read argument prompt and consider your position (pg. 13)

e) Go back and start reading more of the reading test passages

3. Write a reflection note card:

Name: Last, First • Period: • Preferred pronoun

Write about what you are left thinking about with regard to the test and the class—include wonders, worries, and conclusions.
