Kretch Lair
The entrance to the Kretch Lair is located in the Underground Passage which is reachable from Smoky Knolls or Free Meadows.
The instance is accessible for 12 hours every 4 days for players of level 4 and above.

Guidebook
The Female Ashen Spider Guidebook can be purchased in the Old Library on Fay-Go for 14g if the player has at least 13 Secret Knowledge. Otherwise it can be purchased for 42g from the Juggernauts Shop in Village of Maettro or Wild Forest.
There is no Guidebook for Kretch Butcher.
Stashes
In the Patriarch's Cave is a corpse caught in the net, this is clickable once per instance for some random reward.
It is possible to get a Baby Atshi Bat by clicking on the bats hanging from the ceiling in the Patriarch's Cave. A Female Atshi Bat may attack upon players attempting to get a Baby Atshi.
Barracks
You will encounter the following monsters in the Barracks which are likely to join fights:
Kretch Leader [5] - 700 hp
Kretch Sentinel [4] - 451 hp
Kretch Guard [3] - 138 hp
For the quest Warlords Belt you need to kill the Watch Leader in the Barracks to obtain the broken belt.
For the Merchant Mark quest Kretches had it coming you will need to activate the key in the Barracks after you received it from killing the Kretch Butcher.
Kretch Butcher [5]
Sacrifice - A monster joining the fight will be sacrificed to heal butcher.
Butcher Wrath - Removes all healing effects on participants in the fight, occurs approximately every 5 minutes.
Penetrating Butcher Blow - Guaranteed critical blow without damage reduction of block if the opponent is in block.
Shroud of Doom X - Cast to adjust the butchers health and strength based on the highest level opponent in the fight.
It is possible to avoid Sacrifice by killing all the other monsters in the location before fighting butcher. However Kretch Butcher can join fights. The monsters do not respawn.
Penetrating Butcher Blow should be avoided by not being in block against the butcher.

Due to the Shroud of Doom X it is advisable to avoid summoning anything that exceeds the players level bracket to avoid dealing with the stronger version of butcher. Even if higher levels are summoned when the Kretch Butcher is on low health, it will adapt accordingly.
Kretch Butcher Loot:
- Chance to drop for players of level 6 or lower.
10 Juggernaut reputation
- Guaranteed if the current Juggernaut reputation is below 1000 and the player receives the Butcher's Evil Eye (thus is under the effect of Rage or Rainbow by the timet the fight ends
1 ring or amulet
- Guaranteed to receive a random green, blue or purple ring or amulet for level 5 or 6, non-transferable
Possibilities:
Spider Patriarch [10], 8143 hp, hits for 100 on average
Patriarch's Poison - Deals 120 damage over 40 seconds. Unlimited use. Can be removed with Scrolls of Antidote.
Patriarch's Webs - Stuns the target for 5 seconds. Unlimited use.
Concentration - Casts an effect on itself, gaining 1 stack of concentration. Unlimited use.
Patriarch's Strike - Deals 333 damage to 3 random targets in fight. Cast when Spider Patriarch has 3 Concentration on it removing the Concentration. Unlimited use.
Kretches in the location can join the fight and often do.
It is advised to keep your health high when fighting the Spider Patriarch as it can stack Poisons and Stuns. Additional care should be taken if it has 2 stacks of Concentration as it may deal 333 soon after to 3 random targets.
Spider Patriarch Loot:
- Guaranteed drop after learning the Female Ashen Spider Guidebook, non-transferable for level 12 or above
- Chance to drop for players of level 11 or lower.
10 Juggernaut reputation
- Guaranteed drop after learning the Female Ashen Spider Guidebook while Juggernaut reputation is less than 2500.
- Guaranteed drop if none is present in players backpacks.
