How Many Things are There in the Observable Universe ?
The Immaterial Universe.
The observable universe; space, time, field; is one thing, an expanding singularity.
There are two types of things in the observable universe. Material; atoms, mass; and Immaterial; idea thought, energy.
Having determined the nature of the observable universe and the nature of its two main forms the amounts of the material and immaterial can be calculated to determine the number of things currently in the observable universe.
Material
These are atoms and atom variation possibilities. They are also known as Mass.
Sub-atomic particles have been excluded from the material calculation since they are measured in terms of energy not mass and are therefore immaterial in nature.
Atoms
The mass of ordinary matter in the observable universe can be calculated from the volume and the critical density of matter. Assuming that the mass of the observable universe is made up of Hydrogen atoms.
Critical Density of matter / mass of Hydrogen = 1.45e53 kg / 1.67e−27 kg
Total number of atoms in observable universe = 1e+80 Hydrogen atoms

Atom Variation Possibilities.
Given the total number of atoms in observable universe equals 1e+80 Hydrogen atoms and restricting the variations to the number of natural elements on the periodic table to 94 and not up to 118 including artificial ones.
The 1e+80 particles can interact to form 94 natural elements.

All of the components of the observable universe interact to form things that interact.
The material and immaterial interact with a human being only though human senses.
Therefore the material things previously calculated can be stated to be immaterial in nature when sensed by human beings.
Therefore the total material amount of things in the observable universe can be added to the immaterial of sub-atomic and idea.

Total number of immaterial things in the observable universe
Approx.1e+7520 since the other immaterial components are numerically minor in comparison.
Conclusions
There are 1e+7520 things in the observable universe.
The material things can be shown to be immaterial when sensed by human beings.
Therefore all things are sensed; by human beings; as immaterial.
The observable universe is only immaterial, idea, thought, hologram in the form of energy.
