Article 163 - Architecture is a Virtual Tool

Architecture is a Virtual Tool.

All humans are created from sensory experience. It is their memory and their communication.

Humans extend their senses through the manufacture of tools.

These extend the range of human genetic sensory input and output.

This leads to evolution, revolution and depletion.

Tools allow the ordering, arrangement, sequencing, forcing, non-sequential, chaotic manipulation of the environment.

Tools are made by humans and so are human.

Tools create external and internal interaction, inform by sensory feedback and communicate by sensory output.

These are the tools of humans.

The Senses that link to the Exo-environment. Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch.

The Senses that link to the Endo-environment. balance, movement, temperature control, awareness of their own body, pain, hunger, breathing, atmosphere composition, chemical analysis, colour, urination, excretion, swallowing and vomiting.

Quantum Abstract Nature Perceptions. Gravity, Time passing due to depletion of the human organic shell and internal organs culminating in death. Anxiety due to the understanding of birth, life and death. Awareness and Unconsciousness. Electrical perception, Magnetic perception, Pressure perception, Light and Radiation perception, Space, Volume, Area, Length, Line, Edge, Dimension, Stability, Solidity, Strength, Weakness, Opacity, Transparency, Certainty, Uncertainty and Probability.

Architecture is a virtual tool born of the senses.

Architecture is the encompassing knowledge and use of all these senses.

Architecture is the framework onto which the tools of the mind interfaces with manufactured tools to communicate.

The language of Architecture as a tool describes the creation of buildings and the effects of buildings on humans

Architecture describes the environment, resources and responses to needs, values, qualities, appreciations of beauty, cultures and societies.

Buildings are the original product of the tools of the mind.

Buildings are no longer needed so the tools must be re-directed to create something new.

A new post-parametric, post algorithmic, post scripting, meta language, paradigm.
