HOW MUCH DO HUMANS COMMUNICATE IN THE UK ?

The type and extent of communications in the UK in 2015 can be listed as follows in order of magnitude.

Number of emails / text messages per day.

= 23 calls per day x 33.23 million land lines = 764,290,000 per day

= 23 calls per day x 81.612 million mobiles = 1,877,076,000 per day

= 2,641,366,000 emails / texts per day

= Approx. 2,600,000,000 mails / texts per day

= 22 calls per day x 33.23 million land lines = 731,060,000 per day

= 22 calls per day x 81.612 million mobiles = 1,795,464,000 per day

Conclusions

The total number of communications per day in the UK in 2015 is approx.19,000,000,000

The total number of communications per head of population in the UK in 2015 is approx. 300

The total rate of communications per head of population per day in the UK in 2015 is approx.1 every 5 minutes.

This is similar to walking into a crowded room of acquaintances and having a conversation.

However the communication links are worldwide not only local to the UK.

Therefore; as a society; in the UK in 2015 we are communicating at a very rapid pace.
