2021 Bond issue Summary (as of December 2022)
On August 10, 2021, voters overwhelmingly approved, with 76% and 78% YES votes, $28,540,000 for:
Facilities
Agricultural center at the high school (bids opened on 12/9/2022; board action on contracts expected later that month)
Additions at Kane & Wilson elementary schools with expanded entries, lobbies, and offices (slated for completion in early 2023)
New gym floors at Hoover, Ranch Heights, Wayside, and Wilson elementary schools (completed in summer 2022)
Technology such as Chromebooks, services, desktop computers, and network infrastructure for 2023-2025
Curricular needs including textbooks, STEM, library books, and laboratory science equipment in 2023-2025
Athletics
Baseball batting facility at Doenges Stadium (completed in autumn 2022)
Softball and golf practice facility at the softball field west of Madison (completed in summer 2022)
Visitor seating for Custer Stadium (completed in April 2022)
Doornbos Track renewal (completed in April 2022)
Athletic equipment
Maintenance projects across the district in 2023-2025
Transportation needs such as band box trucks, band semi-tractor, and sport utility vehicles
Fine arts instruments, equipment, and auditorium improvements
Safety updates such as protective window film in key storm refuge areas
