While most of the district's schools feature secured entrance areas, one has yet to be installed at Hoover. Visitors entering the building can easily slip by the office, which the bond will prevent via a new entryway design. Secured areas have been tailored at the main entrance of most of the district’s schools. They force visitors during the school day to enter the main office before they are allowed access to the rest of the building, which houses the students and teachers. The entrance areas allow another level of safety at a school, offering more security for all of those who are there.

The bond will also provide a canopy over Hoover's east entrance, where students often enter the building after being dropped off in the parking lot near Madison Middle School. Another Hoover update would be the repainting and resurfacing of a portion of the school’s gymnasium.
