In this week’s online exchange, students from Class 502 became little cultural ambassadors and introduced our local特色 (unique features) to friends in Israel—Yung-Ning’s school, lively night market culture, and Mazu culture.
Our Israeli friends shared their traditional festivals and special foods, allowing us to see the same passion and pride through different cultures.
During the Q&A time, students from both schools took turns asking fun and creative questions.
We discovered that Israeli students have never played badminton or dodgeball, while Yung-Ning students rarely play soccer. Hearing about each other’s daily lives was both surprising and interesting!
Students also shared their daily schedules. Yung-Ning students thoughtfully asked whether their Israeli friends were affected by the war. Thankfully, everything is safe for now, which helped everyone feel relieved.
This was the second meeting for both schools. There was less shyness and nervousness, and more smiles and laughter.
Even though language sometimes made communication a little challenging, every attempt was a brave step forward, making the exchange more real and meaningful.
To prepare for this cultural sharing, Teacher Shih-Han practiced English with the students sentence by sentence, using different learning tools and even phonetic notes, so the children could speak with more confidence.
Seeing the students’ effort and growth truly touched the teachers’ hearts and filled them with pride.
🌍 International exchange helps Yung-Ning students see their own strengths and value, and learn to understand the world.
