How to Verify Integrity:
You may receive an email letting you know that Checkster received an alert to investigate for potential fraud on a potential new hire.
Checkster's advanced technology distinguishes between people sharing a computer under the same employee/user login and those that use the same computer but log into their own employee/user account. Because it's common for employees to share computers in some organizations, we will not send out an alert if people submit their feedback from the same computer while logged into their own employee/user account.
Next Steps
Below is a sample email that you may send to the candidate to get more information on the situation. click here to watch our 1.5 minute fraud alert best practices video with some options for next steps.
Once you've finished investigating the alert, make sure to confirm or clear the fraud in Checkster. Click here to watch a 30-second video with instructions on how to confirm or clear a fraud alert.
Dear Candidate,
As part of our diligent reference checking process, we ask that candidates answer a few questions. Your status in the hiring process depends on your prompt reply to this email.
Please answer the following:
Describe your level of interaction with each reference. (ex. I currently work with Bob Smith on the same projects; John Doe is a friend of mine; Sarah Clark and I worked at the same organization for 5 years. She was my direct supervisor.)
If possible, please explain how and where each reference submitted their feedback. (ex. Bob Smith submitted his feedback with no trouble from his work computer; John Doe used my computer to submit his feedback; I do not know where/how Sarah Clark submitted her feedback.)
Feel free to add any information you believe is relevant. Your prompt response to this email will be highly appreciated.
Thank you,
