Purpose:
To use shadow to enhance your artwork; tell a story; or even interact with your viewer;
To create your own "shadow" photography by setting up items to photograph, going outside and looking for natural shadow art in the world, allowing someone to interact with the shadow, or even allowing the shadow to interact with the world.
I was walking around outside on one of the only sunny days we have had even though it was so windy and cold. But I saw the railing and wires shadow on the stairs and I thought it would be cool if I got lower to the ground to get different perspectives and I really like howw this one came out.
My step-sister's birthday was yesterday and we were getting ready to light the candles on her cake, but I saw the smallest shadow. I took this advantage and used artificial lighting by using a phone flashlight to get the shadow from the happy birthday sign to show up on the chair behind it.
Again I was walking around my house and as I was heading up to my room I saw the shadow from stairs on the wall and the light coming from the porch. So I stopped and took a few photos from different perspectives and I really like how this one came out.
