Thinking about the job itself you never realize how dangerous it is. An example from the video is when the photographer was getting the lions feasting on the zebra, one wrong move and it could be your last. Photographers go above and beyond in their field of work just to get that perfect shot.
I find it so exciting that national geographic doesn't require the same exact style of photos to be taken each time, they expand their variety throughout the book and throughout the multiple covers that are presented in each published piece. Not only are there a number of different strategies being used but behind each photo, there is a story and each photographer has their favorite stories to tell, I love that those stories can be shared, especially since they are all so unique.
I also found it crazy that some photographers are gone eight to nine months out of the year trying to capture specific photos, and putting themselves in dangerous but exciting positions to make sure that they get the perfect photo.
