Reflecting on my goals and my learning for this semester.
I have always been known to be the photographer of any group of people that I am with. I take pride in my work and enjoy creating new art pieces. Some things that inspire me to take (make) photographs are that they are forever. The moment may only last a second but the memories and photographs are there for life. The spark of creativity that comes around is most likely when I am outside around nature, 90 percent of the time I am taking pictures of the sunset or sunrises. I love being able to look back on these moments and say that I got to see them with my own eyes, but now have the ability to see them forever.
Throughout this semester’s class, I hope to learn and improve on the following. The style in which my photos are taken, the way photos can be edited, the history behind photography, ways to work in the darkroom, and many more. I want to know how to work with the lighting, and what angles work best with my photos, and how to capture different kinds of light. I want to learn what components make a good photo versus a bad photo.
