The Thanksgiving Feast

Just when you thought the characters from the Haunted Treehouse were gone forever...

One morning the five teenagers woke up in their beds, and this was odd because on Halloween they had died and gotten sucked out of existence.

All of them called each other immediately. There was a lot of chitchat and bickering about how they were alive and how Hades had just let them go.

Each teen's mother said that all of the five families were going to have Thanksgiving together. Then Hades appeared. He said that they would be able to spend this Thanksgiving with their families, but there would be challenges. When the teens, Payton, Hayden, Avery, Aaron, and Jeffrey heard this they became angry at Hades for bringing them back to life, only to make things more complicated for them.

“But, what can we do?” thought Payton.

Hayden said, "We have to get through the day."

Jeffrey agreed, and they all went to Payton's house for the holiday. The dads were talking and the moms were cooking so they went up to Payton's room.

At first, it seemed like any holiday. Then, they started to play a board game and it came to life! They felt like it was the movie Jumanji! This must have been the first challenge from Hades. A tiger suddenly jumped from the game. The tiger came over and ripped up Jeffreys’ heart! Everyone screamed tragically. They rushed downstairs to tell Jeffery's parents, but they had disappeared. They screamed again, but their parents just asked why they were screaming and didn't notice the missing people.

The remaining teens said nothing more and just tried to enjoy the rest of Thanksgiving and forget about what had just happened. They were silent about their loss. They went outside to play on the trampoline.

Under the trampoline was a big hole and it was filled with scorpions. So, when they started jumping on the trampoline, Hayden was jumping so hard that he made a hole in the trampoline and fell through the hole into a pit of scorpions. They knew what had happened to Hayden when his parents disappeared, too.

Payton's mom called them for dinner. They all sat down to turkey, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, peppers, cranberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, and applesauce. The turkey came to life and ate Avery. Everybody screamed so loud that the windows broke and it got cold. Very cold. But when Avery's parents vanished, they started to eat dessert, since there was no sense in wasting pie.

Unfortunately, the pumpkin pie had food poisoning in it and Payton died. And since Payton died and that was her house, when it vanished, Aaron was sent back to the underworld.

Halloween Vs. Christmas

In the beginning of time, there was outer space. In outer space, 2 feet away from the moon, a planet lies called HolidayWorld. Halloween and Christmas were the two closest countries in the planet called HolidayWorld. The leader of Christmas, Santa , believed in peace around the world. The dictator of Halloween, Satan, believed in chaos around the world. At a meeting with the Council of Holidays, or C.O.H, Santa and Satan got into a major argument. Santa despised war. He hated watching people die. Satan supported a war. They both wanted to own all the holidays in HolidayWorld. They wanted to be praised by the children of the world. In order to decide the ruler, it was best that they went to war, and that's what they did.

On August 29, Halloween and Christmas went into a war known as “Holiday War”. Christmas got Easter, Valentine, and Thanksgiving to join them in the war. Halloween got Labor and Memorial to join them in the war. The war was like something out of a comic book. Santa and Satan had super strong weapons such as Snow Bombs and Skeleton Legs. This was absolute chaos. Labor and Memorial, though not good friends, were doing their best to make sure Christmas loses in the war. Even though this was a dark time, Memorial had an idea.

Memorial called a truce, and brought all the holidays to a team meeting. He even brought snacks. He said that people should start to celebrate each holiday earlier than they thought. The stores would start to sell Christmas items around Halloween time. That would have people thinking of both holidays at the same time! Santa and Satan loved the idea! Starting next year, the stores around the world would sell their holiday stuff earlier than usual.

How to get over a break-up

Step 5: Listen to some music of any kind.

Step 9: Have your friends help you fall in love again.

So the question is if you’ve ever read a scary story how did you feel when you reached the end? Would it be just as scary if the end was the beginning or would it be not as scary? This is what I decided to do for my project in my eighth grade English class. Yeah, I know i’m really matur…

”HEY DWEEB, WAKE UP AND STOP MUMBLING TO YOURSELF!”

That was my ex Mason. Ever since we broke up cause he cheated on me with my best friend everyday has been like friendly fire. I hate Mason, but I hate her (my ex-best friend, Alex) more for doing this to me. I know I’m ridiculous but, I still feel so mad.

“Hey, Mrs. Sally Stupid, how’s it going?” Alex asked in her normal rude voice.

“What’s it to you?” I said angrily.

“Well I ju….” Alex stopped. Her body started flinching in a weird motion.

“Hey are you ok?” I asked quickly.

Alex froze she screamed and pointed to the window.”WHAT IS THAT!” Everyone in the classroom turned around in fear. What I saw was outrageous. It was a large portal and while we were staring at it suddenly multiple monsters aggressively crept from all areas of the portal. The monsters had large sharp teeth and slimey bodies. They were slimy, spikey, and some looked like cracked up rocks. Most of the monsters looked like parasites and trust me they were really disgusting. Some were small as an infant while others were as large as a bolder. But one monster was as big as a skyscraper and suddenly miniature monsters came out of it.

We were told by our teacher not to worry and that it was just our imagination. The thing was, everyone could see them. I could tell by the looks on their faces. It was honestly a mesmerizing sight. However, this wasn’t the only thing this portal could do. Some adults outside, who were waiting to pick up their kids got put into a trance and suddenly acted mindless and clueless like they were minions. Suddenly a group of these adults stormed into the classroom.”Time to look at it, it really is beautiful!”

The Book Jumpers Part Three

As we walk through the woods following Jared, we see a figure of an older girl run past. We all stop, frightened, and decide to change course to follow the girl. She appeared to be heading towards a cabin of some sorts. She had shoulder-length blonde hair that was all messy and frizzy. She looked to be about sixteen or seventeen.

I noticed that she had this pretty necklace on, and it had an unusual stick-like thing hanging from it. I couldn’t tell what it was, but It seemed important to her.

She walked into the cabin only to stop in fear while staring at a mirror. Her pale, blue eyes widened in surprise at the exact copy of herself, as if she’s never looked in a mirror. Her skin was pae, with dark freckles to contrast. Her dark lips looked swollen, and her straight nose had a bump on the bridge, as if it got broken. A bruise it starting to form on her jaw. She looks at her hands.

Blood. Everywhere. Some of her fingernails are missing. I then notice something shiny in her other hand. I turn to my friends and mouth:

She has a gun.

She holds the gun, bloody fingerprints all over it. Did she kill someone? We then watch her go over to the curtains, peeking out at what is making the noise we heard. Her eyes stop at the sight of a dark blue SUV and puts her gun in the waistband of her jeans. She pulls keys out of her pocket and press the fob on her key. The lights of the SUV flash, indicating that the keys belong to that car.

We watch her breath a sigh of relief and look around. She picks up a brown coat and a photo before leaving the cabin.

Cleo, Jared, Jax, and I exchange glances of confusion. Whoever that girl was, it was clear we should stay away from her. She looked crazy enough to have escaped from a mental hospital.

We exit the cabin going back into the woods to search for our missing items. There are branches all around us, so we decide to search for the wand first. I watch Jared take a seat and continue reading the book.

I repeat to myself, A wand, a deer, and a feather. Where the heck are we supposed to find those things? The only kind of wand I could think of that possibly looked like a wand were all these branches surrounding me, but how was I supposed to figure out which one was a real wand?

A wave of realization washes over me as I remember the girl we saw. As if reading my mind along with his book, Jared speaks up.

“Guys, the girl we just saw, that was Cady.” He says. Cleo and Jax clearly have no idea of the importance of Cady, but I understood it immediately. “And that is important because…?” Cleo replies, confirming my thoughts.

Jared answers back with a sly smile creeping onto his lips. “I think we just found our first missing item.”

Video Game Review

A new game called OTHER: Her Loving Embrace is coming out on the Nintendo Switch and on Steam. The producer is Chimera Labs LLC. The game won’t be released until December of 2022, however, you may be able to play a demo. This game is an RPG with a stylish action combat skill game that lets to show your inner soul. You can also explore, do awesome puzzles, vanquish your foes, and uncover secrets you have never been done before.

While I have not played this game yet, I have looked up info and I have watched a video of the game and it looks really awesome.

RevieW: Grand Carnivale

Guten Tag! Namaste! Ni Hao! Bonjour! Ciao!

This year Dorney Park & WildWater Kingdom hosted a limited time event called Grand Carnivale. This limited time event offered many types of entertainment. Grand Carnivale ran from July 20, 2019 to August 11, 2019.

During this special event, you could experience food from different countries, and enjoy a really amazing Spectacle of Color parade. This parade offered multiple floats and 3 floats just filled with beads that the guests could ride for FREE. 2019 Season Passholders had access about a week before the event started for a guaranteed spot on one of the 3 beaded floats. Unfortunately, spots were limited and ALL spots were filled within an hour of the website opening. They offered a Stand-By Line at the park for guests who wanted to experience it but could not get tickets. If there were spots available on a float you would have a CHANCE of them picking you to be one of the amazing bead throwers! I, myself, had been on the float 3 times! Yes 3!

Trapped CHapter Two

We start walking in a random direction for a few minutes in silence, then Rose says, “Hey, should we split up? We could cover ground faster, scout out the area, and make the hatch we came out of the meet up point.”

Then I reply, “Yeah, we should go in groups of 2, but how would we communicate if one group or both find something?”

“You're right.”, Addison says.

Cloe chimes in. “What if we check Rose’s handbag she found if there’s anything we can use.”

“Wait, you found a bag and didn’t tell us?!”, I reply.

“Yeah, you were too busy rushing us out of that room so we wouldn’t be affected by that odd purple gas!”, Rose replies. “Ok, but should we be looking through the bag now?”, Addison says. Rose opens the bag and flips it over, and is now dumping its contents out. Two walkie talkies and 2 flashlights fall out.

“Yes!”, Cloe says.

Then, I say, “We should split into groups now, because we found walkie talkies.” We agree, then split into groups. In the first group, there’s me and Cloe, and in the second group, it’s Addison and Rose. We split up and each take a flashlight for their group. Cloe and I start looking around, and Artemis and Star appear.

“Where were you?!” we say in unison.

Then, Star replies, “We were finishing up in the room, getting rid of the gas. It wasn’t toxic to us, but we think that it would negatively affect humans.”

“Oh.” I respond. A few moments later of talking about personal interests, we come across a cabin. I take out the walkie talkie and send a message to the others on what we found, while Cloe turns on the flashlight.

Then, the others respond “Ok. We are coming. See you soon. Over.”

Cloe and I walk inside and we find a purse filled with vials with odd colored liquid. We go into the back room and see 5 cages, all with broken bars.

“What’s that?”, I say.

Cloe says, “I don’t know, but whatever broke out of those cages don’t seem to be friendly, she says, and points behind me.

The Coaster Debates: Episode One

Welcome To Coaster Debates! We will be featuring a ton of rollercoaster questions that most people have and debating them here! In this episode we will be talking about a commonly asked question I get asked all the time by people and that question is Does Hydra have 7 inversions? In this episode I will be breaking down the key points and debating whether or not Hydra has 7 inversions. According to Rollercoaster DataBase the site says that Hydra does in fact have 7 inversions.

Look below at the diagram. I say Hydra does not have 7 inversions, and this diagram will help me explain why.

Where the arrow points shows the point after the first drop where Hydra has it’s “Second Inversion.” Currently, I see a problem with that. If you look at it closely enough, you will see that it isn’t quite steep enough to be an inversion. According to Wikipedia, an inversion is “a roller coaster element in which the track turns riders upside-down and then returns them an upright position. Early forms of inversions, dating as far back as 1848 on the Centrifugal Railway in Paris, were vertical loops that were circular in nature.”

Now that you know what an inversion is Hydra does Not have 7 inversions. Take any protractor (a math tool used for measuring) and put it up to the image above, see if any point on that coaster hits 180°. If it does, boom, I’m wrong, and Hydra does have 7 inversions. However, if the angle of inversion is 170° or lower, it isn’t classified as an inversion and I’m right.

Now that I have explained to you my reasoning, do you still classify Hydra as a 7 inversion coaster or a 6 inversion coaster?

The HAunted Treehouse Part Two:

The Underworld

The five teenagers all got sucked into the underworld right from the doorstep of the tree house. When they got there, they noticed that they were no longer possessed. There was fire everywhere, and a lake of bodies at their feet. moaning with sad and agonizing tones of voice.

They had to get out of the underworld! They did not belong there in that, old, dreary, desolate place. All of the sudden the witch who had owned the tree house appeared. She said, “This is your punishment for going in my house! Mwahahahaha! There is only one way you can get out: HUMAN SACRIFICE!!!!”

They were not going to sacrifice each other. Avery said, “I’m not gonna be the sacrifice!” There had to be another way. Payton had read tons of books and knew that there was another way to get out: Hades. All they had to do was to talk to Hades and tell him that they were not dead. But it would not be easy. So Payton told everyone her plan, while Jeffery distracted the witch by asking, “What’s your name?”

The witch paused. “Did you not see my mailbox?” she asked. No they had not. Was there even a mailbox? “Well, if you did not see it then I am not telling you!” she said in a teasing tone.

They walked away, pretending to be sad that the witch wouldn't tell her name, but really they went off to find Hades. After two hours of looking still no Hades and they started to get worried that they would never get out.

Aaron said, “I am not being sacrificed either!”

Jeffrey said, “None of us are being sacrificed. Let’s look some more."

“Look,” said Aaron, “There is a secret door. Let's go through it.”

So they went in. It was a dark and eerie cave, which was cold and not welcoming. There was a little blue fire lit it the back. It was Hades’s underworld lair. He said, “How DARE you disturb the LORD OF THE UNDERWORLD!”

Hayden said, “We only wish to leave!”

Hades laughed and said, “You silly kids, this is the underworld! The only way to do that is to feed me mortal souls”.

Payton said sassily,” What about immortal souls?”

Hades angrily shouts, “Are you threatening me? I guess you’ve made your choice!”

Just as they had expected, Hades used his powers. What they didn't expect was that the five teenagers ceased to exist.
