SCRIBBLER STAFF CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL YEAR

May 9, 2019

By The Scribbler Staff

The 2018-2019 Scribbler Staff is having their final meeting (a party) on Friday, May 10th to celebrate another successful year of reporting the news and sharing creative writing and art. They are also kicking off a brand-new initiative called "Scribbler Creative," which will replace the old "Scribbler Magazine."

"Students were frustrated because they were only able to publish their creative pieces four times a year," editor Mrs. Korin says. "The new format, which we are calling 'Scribbler Creative,' will let me publish their artwork, puzzles, stories, poems, and more as soon as they are finished! This will allow students to submit work more frequently, and give our readers something new each week." Instead of creating a printed and digital magazine, the staff will now be publishing the creative work on a separate page of Scribbler Weekly. You can find the page in the menu, or click here to visit it.

The students of The Scribbler have enjoyed their time with each other this year, and they have worked hard, too. They have published hundreds of news articles, comics, creative writing pieces, and even a video! "We are looking forward to another great year," Mrs. Korin adds, "You should join us!"

For now, the staff will celebrate with snacks, games and fun at our annual end-of year party, and then take a well-deserved break. We will still be publishing a few more stories on Scribbler Weekly, but meetings are concluded for the year. Have an awesome summer, and be sure to check back in the fall for more great reading!
