Sights of orange pumpkins everywhere
Scarecrows in the fields
Leaves changing colors on the trees
Sounds of little kids saying, “Trick or treat”
Them claiming their pumpkins
Screams coming from the haunted houses
Feels chilly from the fall wind
The heavy feeling of your pumpkins
Feels of the rough hay prickling your skin on the hay rides
The slimy, gutty feeling of the inside of your pumpkin
The taste of sweet apple cider
Creamy pumpkin pie
Delicious caramel apples
Smell of pumpkin spice
Freshly baked apple pie
Sweet, sweet candy corn

Evalyn walked out the door and met her friend Scarlett at the corner of the street. She lived 2 blocks away from her house. Scarlett lives up to her name. She has natural, fiery red hair and blue eyes. She is also very tan and has freckles speckled under her eyes and across her nose. Evalyn is basically the opposite. Evalyn had black-brown hair and emerald green eyes. She had no freckles and light, tan skin. Scarlett was turning 16 in a couple weeks, while Evalyn still had a couple months to go. Scarlett was born on October 23rd, 2003. Evalyn, on the other hand, was born on January 1st, 2004. Evalyn has walked with Scarlett to school for as long as she can remember. They met on the first day of kindergarten and clicked. Although they might be the best friends in the world, Scarlett does not know Evalyn’s secret. The secret that could change the world.
They finally got into the parking lot. “Did you finish your essay,” Scarlett asked Evalyn.
“No,” she replied. “I fell asleep face first into my computer.”
Scarlett laughed until the point where Evalyn thought she was going to die of laughter. “I’m sorry!” Scarlett said out of breath and still cracking up. “You... fell... asleep... on... your... keyboard!”
“Very funny,” Evalyn said sounding very mad.
“Sorry, it was waaay too funny not to laugh,” Scarlett replied calming down.
“Mrs. Vancouver’s gonna kill me.”
“No she’s not,” Scarlett said back. “You’re way too good of a student for her to punish you. Just tell her that you were tired and fell asleep. She has to give you another couple days.”
“She knows I’m a bad writer. She’ll probably just make me stay after school, give me another lesson on writing essays, and look over my shoulder when I write it.”
“You have to find a cure for your writer’s block. We still have two more years of school left besides this one.” Evalyn and Scarlett were in tenth grade. It was October and school had just started a month ago. In Scarlett’s opinion, being a sophomore (soft-more) was the best, or better than being a freshman. In Evalyn’s opinion, it was the worst thing in the world. She would rather be a freshman again.
They soon got to the doors of Tigerpark High. “Ready?” Scarlett asked.
“Not a chance,” Evalyn replied. And they went through the double doors into an insanely crowded hallway.

Silence, Patience.
Walking down the corridors,
Barely any Light left to fight the Darkness.
Silence overtaking the voices in my head.
Silence, Patience.
The sound of the lock moving,
Right, then left, then right, then left.
The Sound of Silence gets quiet for a time.
Once the locker door is shut,
Its loud screams shatter the Silence.
But the Silence overtakes it, yet.
Silence, Patience.
Sitting down in the middle of it all,
The battles between Light and Dark,
Sound and Silence,
The Isolation settles in.
Silence, Patience.
The faintest sound of a lullaby,
Sweet piano music from a distance,
Can not avoide its demise,
When the Silence overtakes it.
Silence, Patience.
Footsteps growing louder,
Teachers and students filling the space,
Isolation ceases.
The Light of Dawn fills my sights,
Making the Darkness storm away.
Their chatter and laughter fills the air,
And the Silence becomes no more.
Silence, Patience.
Silence, Patience.
Chatter, Laughter.
Lullaby, Piano.
Darkness, Light.
Isolation.

In July 2019, current 8th grade student Aiden H. created a song. While the song is a parody of AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap,” a famous song from 1976, it is titled “Mr.Brady, Helps you Learn,” paying homage to seventh grade science and social-studies teacher, Mr.Brady. Aiden H, the writer of the song and a scribbler staff member, interviewed Mr. Alercia to see what he thinks of the song.
Mr. Alercia, the band teacher at WAIS, says that the song has “Good lyrics and messages. I think it’s great”. As well as praising to the song, he also advised the songwriter to “Keep trying to create. Maybe try a different genre of music next time, like jazz”.
Fun Fact: Aiden was originally going to name the song “Mr.A, Helps You Learn”, but his parents made him change the title to “Mr Brady, Helps You Learn” for comedy purposes. Also, Aiden was originally going to parody a modern rap song, but Aiden did not know any rap songs.
As you can see, you should clearly check out “Mr.Brady Helps You Learn”. While it’s not the most original song a Youtuber has created, the song is sure to get stuck in your head with it’s catchy beat, strong message, and hilarious lyrics. It’s truly worth your time. Help the song go viral by sending it to your friends and having them like the video. It would mean everything to Aiden to get a trending video.

"Hello, my name is Matt. You might be wondering why I’m using this radio to contact you . Well I’m kinda trapped in a underground shelter and I’d like some company so if you receive this please come to 4458 Pines St. on Allen Ave. please.”
Matt put the radio down, doubting that anyone was alive. He thought, "What if no one comes? What if there is no one to come?"
BANG BANG! There was a loud knock on the door. A voice screamed, “Help me, please!”
Matt rushed to the door and peered outside the small glass hole. It was a zombie again, but this one was different. She seemed scared, like she had emotions and thoughts still. Matt, confused and shocked, opened the door to let her in. As she walked in she rushed toward him and gave him a hug.
"Thank you I was terrified,” she said while sobbing.
”How are you…” Matt began, but was cut off.
”My brothers they’re gone,” she said wiping the tears away.
”Ok, ok, slow down. What are you talking about?”
”That doesn’t matter. I’ll explain everything on the way,” she said as she quickly grabbed his hand and motioned towards the door.”
"Wait!” Matt said quickly, ”Can I at least know your name first?”
”Sarah,” the female zombie said, with a small smile.
Matt agreed to go with her, because he had nothing better to do. Matt geared up with all his armor and defenses and headed off. After hours of walking (actually about 25 minutes) Matt was getting overly tired.
”How much more walking?” Matt said, barely breathing.
”Not much father cause we’re here,” Sarah said smiling.
Matt looked up and realized there was a zombie horde blocking the entrance and exit. Then the zombies rushed toward them.
”Oh, no,” Matt said.

Katniss, named after the edible plant,
At the reaping,
The younger sister was called up,
Never would Katniss allow
Innocent Primrose to go get
Slaughtered and
Sliced.
Even after the Games bgin,
Very few people are already gone,
Everyone is scared of careers, for they are
Really fast and strong,
Determined to make it back home, she
Expertly hunts some rabbits,
Eats food and
Never lets her guard down.

Autumn leaves fall,
The trees don’t seem to change at all,
Last time they were small,
But, now they have become tall.
My family has grown,
With a smooth tone,
And if you want to hear it,
Use a xylophone.
So much has happened since we departed
And now this message to you is truly full hearted.
While the Autumn leaves fall,
The people grow tall,
The kids I once knew as bright,
Have now faded their lights.
The Autumn leaves fall,
Everyone's standing around the hall,
Hoping that summer is closer than fall.
But still winter knocks at our door,
With presents and snow and so much more.
Some people feel as if this weather is cheery,
While others feel that it’s scary.
But, how do I feel might be what your asking.
While I cannot explain without feeling rather odd.
The Autumn leaves still continue to fall,
My family begins to shout about almost nothing at all,
I’m writing this letter inside the dining hall,
Hoping that no will notice me at all.
I hope this letter that you are receiving,
Is quite fun in its own reason,
I hope whoever finds this note,
Enjoys it and doesn’t bolt.
Sadly I must say farewell,
To whoever reads this may the lord bring joy to yourself.
I hope you don’t become weary,
Because summer comes close, believe me.
This is the end I say, “Ta Ta,”
And hope you enjoyed this letter from moi.
