This is a very historic library, so in addition to being useful for your studies, the library is a cultural and historic point of interest. A full list of library inductions can be found here, you are strongly encouraged to attend inductions for all libraries in subjects you'll read this year. This will give you a chance to learn where the libraries are, meet the staff, and discover if you need to request any special access to gain entry to that particular library.
All WEPO students must attend one of the library induction times listed in the schedule below. This is a webinar introduction the University of Oxford library system as a whole, which is a requirement for all new students.

2:00pm-4:00pm: City Tour Bingo. Working as teams and led by a FREP – will you find all of the items hidden around Oxford? Location: Meet at The Lodge
7:00pm: Undergraduate Fresher's Dinner. A chance to meet those in your subject and experience a College Dinner! Pre-dinner drinks in the Antechapel at 7pm. Dinner in the Hall at 7:30pm. Formal with gowns (no sub fusc). Location: Dining Hall at Turl St.
10:00pm: Movie Night. Get comfy and enjoy a cosy night in with snacks and a good film! Location: JCR

7:00pm: G&D's. Arguably Oxford’s best ice-cream parlour, it’s the perfect after-dinner treat! Location: Meet at the Lodge

1:30pm-4:00pm: Subject Family Meetings. Your Subject Family is your in-college network of those doing the same or a similar course to you. They'll talk you through using SOLO, how to approach your first assignments, and answer any questions you might have. Location: TBC by your Subject Rep
5:00-5:30pm: Beaumont Elms Practice Q&A. If you have any questions about joining the GP then this Q&A session is for you! Location: MS Teams, link TBA
7:00pm: JCR Rep Drop-in Sessions. Meet the following reps and like-minded freshers. This is a relaxed event and you can come and go between groups as you please. Location: JCR

10:00am-11:00am: Oxford SU: Freshers' Fair. With 500 stalls from commercial to charity, university to student, students can visit the Oxford SU Freshers' Fair to collect freebies and join Clubs, Societies, and Sports Teams. Location: Examination Schools
11:00am-12:00pm: Croquet Tournament. An Oxford favourite – join in on a friendly game of croquet in the College’s not-so-secret garden! Location: Fellows' Garden

8:00pm-9:00pm: Introduction to Journaling. Let our Disabilities and Mental Health Rep, Phoebe, introduce you to the benefits of journaling with top tips on how to get going with it. Location: JCR
3:00pm-6:00pm: WEPO Welcome BBQ. WEPO is hosting a welcome BBQ for all WEPO students and Exeter College students at our campus in Summertown. The Tufts study abroad cohort for this year have also been invited. WEPO students are expected to attend, as we are hosting on our campus. This is a great opportunity to invite friends to your new home, and enjoy our gardens. Exeter students must RSVP here, and present a ticket and their student ID on arrival. Location: WEPO gardens
